COMMON QUESTIONS
BEFORE YOUR NEXT STEP.
Do I have to complete Level 1 before taking Level 2?
No. Beginner steppers are welcome in Level 2. Some general fitness experience is encouraged because the class introduces more pace, direction, and choreography than Level 1.
Who tends to feel comfortable in Level 2?
Level 2 can be a great fit for people with some general fitness experience and for former dancers, cheerleaders, gymnasts, athletes, or anyone who enjoys learning movement to music. You do not need one of those backgrounds to participate.
Will the choreography be taught?
Yes. Every movement and combination is taught and reviewed throughout class. Level 2 is more challenging than Level 1, but you are not expected to arrive already knowing the choreography.
Is Level 2 high impact?
Level 2 includes higher-impact step combinations, but low-impact modification options are available so you can adjust movements while continuing to participate in the class.
What will I build in Level 2?
Level 2 is designed to build cardiovascular endurance, coordination, rhythm, movement confidence, and overall fitness while introducing more layered step choreography.
How often does the class meet?
The current Level 2 series includes eight sessions. Please refer to the current series schedule above for the confirmed days, dates, and class time.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable athletic clothing and supportive athletic shoes with good stability for directional movement. During rain, snow, or other inclement weather, bring a clean pair of indoor athletic shoes to change into before class.
What happens if I miss a class?
If you miss a class during your registered series, you may attend one Saturday Levels Step class at no additional charge as a make-up session. Your make-up must be completed while your current series is still in session and is limited to one complimentary Saturday make-up per series.
What if The Levels Studio cancels a class?
If The Levels Studio cancels a scheduled class, registered participants will be notified using the contact information provided during registration and a replacement session will be added. Studio-canceled sessions do not count toward your one complimentary Saturday make-up.
What is the series cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your registration for the full 8-session series, please provide at least 24 hours' notice before the series begins. Whenever possible, 48 hours' notice is appreciated.
Will I complete a fitness waiver?
Yes. The Fitness Participation Waiver & Release is completed as part of registration. A timestamped copy of the completed agreement is included with the booking confirmation email for your records.
